Johor Requires Permits for All Sports Events, From Grassroots to League Tournaments

Organizers of sports programs and league tournaments in Johor must secure permits from the state government or relevant sports bodies. Mohd. Hairi Mad Shah, chairman of the Johor Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, and Cooperatives Committee, stated that this requirement applies to all events, including grassroots competitions.

The directive aims to ensure that all participants and organizers adhere to the necessary standard operating procedures (SOPs) throughout the duration of any sports event. This measure is intended to maintain order and safety, ensuring that events are conducted in a well-managed and regulated manner.

Mohd. Hairi Mad Shah emphasized the importance of this procedural step for all sports-related activities within the state. The clarification serves as a reminder to event organizers about their responsibilities in obtaining official approval before proceeding with their programs.
