Journey of Biofar SS Innovator Documented in New Book to be Launched at UI

Universitas Indonesia will host the launch and discussion of "Biofar SS Innovator: A Village Child from 70 Thousand Goes Global," a book chronicling the inspiring journey of Muhammad Ja’far Hasibuan.

The book details Hasibuan's path from his village in North Sumatra with only Rp70,000 (approximately $5 USD) to his current success as a Master's student and innovator. It covers his experiences working while studying and developing Biofar SS, a traditional medicine made from natural ingredients aimed at treating skin conditions.

"This event is not just to celebrate personal achievement, but to invite us all to reflect that knowledge, combined with perseverance, prayer, and social responsibility, will always find its way to provide the widest possible benefit," Hasibuan stated. He emphasized that the book shares his life story while highlighting the importance of education, diligence, and social responsibility.

The event, organized by Mega Press Nusantara, will be held in a hybrid format at the G Hall of the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) UI in Depok and via Zoom. Several academics, including professors from UI and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, are scheduled to speak. The organizers have allocated slots for 500 in-person and 1,500 online participants, with the event open to the public free of charge.
