Juan Gabriel's legacy thrives a decade after death through merchandise and music

Ten years after the passing of Mexican icon Alberto Aguilera Valadéz, known globally as Juan Gabriel, his presence continues to be felt profoundly through his music and a steady stream of branded merchandise. This decade has seen various companies leverage his enduring image, transforming his absence from the stage into a profitable tribute that satisfies fans' desire to feel closer to their idol.

Juan Gabriel's music remains a constant, fueling what fans describe as an "eternal love." This devotion is reflected in the ongoing acquisition of products, photographs, and records, ensuring his relevance across generations. His music and image have become a cultural inheritance, passed down from parents to younger fans who are now discovering the "Divo de Juárez."

His legacy has taken flight, quite literally, with airlines honoring him. In 2023, Viva Aerobús unveiled a custom Airbus A321 painted pink and featuring Juan Gabriel's face and name, coinciding with the release of an unreleased single.
