Saxony-Anhalt experienced a particularly sunny July, with preliminary data from the German Weather Service indicating around 248 hours of sunshine. This amount substantially surpasses the long-term average of 207 hours recorded between 1961 and 1990.

The month was also warmer than average, with the mean temperature reaching 19.3 degrees Celsius, which is 1.7 degrees above the long-term average. The temperature fluctuations were notable, characterized by several hot days interspersed with cooler periods. Towards the end of the month, temperatures widely exceeded 35 degrees Celsius, with some areas even reaching approximately 40 degrees Celsius.

Regarding precipitation, Saxony-Anhalt received about 49 liters per square meter in July. This amount is only slightly less than the average of 52 liters per square meter recorded for the 1961-1990 reference period. The weather pattern was defined by a mix of intense heat and cooler intervals throughout the month.
