Kaduna APC forum backs Tinubu, Uba Sani, Katung for second term

The Southern Kaduna Integrity Forum, a support group within Nigeria's All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and Senator Sunday Katung for re-election in 2027. The group, reportedly aligned with the political structure of former senator Danjuma Laah, based its decision on the perceived developmental achievements and leadership capabilities of the three politicians.

During a press conference in Kaduna, the forum's convener, Samuel Tajo, stated that their endorsement of Senator Katung, who represents Kaduna South Senatorial District, followed an assessment of projects and interventions he has facilitated. Tajo specifically pointed to the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences and the Federal Medical Centre in Southern Kaduna as evidence of effective representation and commitment to the region's development.

Shortly after the primary election, we deemed it fit to work with Sunday Marshall Katung because of his activities and achievements within less than three years in office. He has performed excellently.

He dismissed claims that the group only aligned with Katung after his emergence as the APC candidate, insisting on their support from the conclusion of the party primaries.

Look at the Federal University of Applied Sciences, the Federal Medical Centre and other projects across Southern Kaduna. Through his leadership, there are several development initiatives benefiting Southern Kaduna and beyond.

Tajo also commended Senator Katung for fostering unity across the eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna. He acknowledged the contributions of other aspirants who contested the APC primaries but emphasized that Senator Katung's impact has been immense. The forum's stance underscores a focus on performance and party loyalty as key factors in their political alignment.
