KAI Group Opens External Recruitment Today: How to Apply

PT Kereta Api Indonesia and the wider KAI Group opened their 2026 external recruitment drive on Sept. 4 for graduates of senior high school, D3 diploma, D4 diploma and bachelor’s programs.

The recruitment comes as the railway group seeks to strengthen its workforce for reliable operations, customer service and business development. Applicants can use the integrated portal at karier.kai.id, which brings opportunities at KAI and its subsidiaries together in one place.

“This portal serves as one recruitment channel for KAI and its subsidiaries, so information about career opportunities, applications and the KAI Group selection stages can be accessed through one platform,” KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said in a written statement from Jakarta.

Anne said the integrated portal would support more effective, transparent and accessible talent management. She added that the railway industry needs employees with competence, integrity, adaptability and a service orientation. Young Indonesians, she said, can build careers while contributing to the development of the national railway sector.

Recruitment is available across fields including operations, rolling stock and infrastructure, customer service, health, administration, logistics and legal affairs.
