Kane confirms Bayern extension talks set to start

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is poised to commence negotiations for a contract extension, aiming to prolong his stay with the Bundesliga champions beyond his current deal which expires in 2027. The discussions, initially slated to begin earlier, were postponed until after Kane's post-World Cup break. He indicated that the talks are expected to start imminently, likely within the current or next week.

Kane, who joined Bayern in 2023 on a four-year contract, has had a prolific spell with the club. He has secured two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup, while also reaching the Champions League semi-finals in two of his three seasons. His goal-scoring record is exceptional, having netted 146 goals in 147 appearances across all competitions for Bayern. The club has consistently expressed its desire to retain the England captain, even referring to him as their "best transfer ever" at the conclusion of the previous season.
