Karol G, Miguel Bosé, Yatra lead benefit concert for Colombia earthquake victims

A star-studded lineup of Colombian and international artists will come together for a solidarity concert in Bogotá on August 23rd to aid those affected by the recent magnitude 7.4 earthquake that devastated parts of Colombia. The event, named 'Voces por la vida' (Voices for Life), features prominent musicians such as Karol G, Miguel Bosé, Sebastián Yatra, Draco Rosa, and Silvestre Dangond, among many others.

The primary goal of the concert is to raise funds for the reconstruction of the most severely impacted zones and to assist families who have lost their homes. Organizers stated that the music industry in Colombia has united with a shared purpose: to donate their work and help rebuild communities. The concert will be held at the Vive Claro venue, Colombia's largest.

All proceeds from the event will be channeled through Presentes Corporación, an organization dedicated to supporting reconstruction tasks and helping families regain shelter and restart their lives. The extensive list of confirmed artists includes Grupo Niche, Andrés Cepeda, Beéle, Bonka, Daniel Habif, Eladio Carrión, Galy Galiano, Hamilton, Juan Duque, Juliana, Laura Pérez, Maisak, Manú, Manuel Medrano, Pedro Capó, and Timo.

Colombian superstar Karol G will join the event virtually via livestream, collaborating with her Fundación Con Cora, which focuses on empowering vulnerable women and communities. The organizers highlighted that artists, promoters, producers, media, brands, and hundreds of technical and support staff are contributing their time and resources without charging any fees or direct costs, demonstrating a collective commitment to the cause. Donations from the public start at 100,000 Colombian pesos (approximately $32), which includes entry to the show.
