In a commendable operation, the Forest and Environmental Protection Police (Pofoma) of Bolivia have successfully rescued 61 puppies from inhumane transport conditions. The operation, which took place on the road to Santa Cruz near Sacaba, highlights the ongoing efforts by Bolivian authorities to combat the irregular and cruel trafficking of fauna.

The puppies were discovered crammed into a van, en route to the Chapare province, a region often associated with various forms of trade.
