Kazakhstan Housing Company Launches Analytics Platform Amid Sector Reforms

Kazakhstan Housing Company (KHC) has introduced the beta version of KHC.Analytics, a new platform designed to offer extensive data on the country's housing market and shared-equity construction sector. This initiative aims to centralize housing market information, presenting it through interactive dashboards that provide data previously inaccessible from a single public source.

The platform's launch aligns with Kazakhstan's ongoing reforms to boost transparency and efficiency within its construction industry. KHC.Analytics features six distinct sections, offering some content for free while advanced analytical tools require a paid subscription. It integrates data on shared-equity housing projects, property prices, developer activities, financing, construction progress, and regional market trends, alongside broader economic indicators like housing completions, property transactions, inflation, and household incomes.

KHC intends for the platform to serve as a standardized information source for journalists, analysts, investors, and potential homebuyers. KHC Chair Altai Kuzdibayev highlighted that the platform provides unique data on the shared-equity housing market, complete with regional comparisons, and is envisioned to become a key industry reference point.

This development follows the recent implementation of Kazakhstan's new Construction Code, signed in January. The code strengthens sector regulations and accelerates digital transformation by introducing digital oversight of urban planning, limiting changes to development plans, enhancing seismic safety, and expanding state construction supervision. It also establishes a National Institute for Technical Standardization and creates a unified digital construction portal, Qportal.kz, to streamline planning, design, and construction processes.
