Kelantan Hopes Sukma in Selangor Will Continue

From Kota Bharu, the Kelantan state government has voiced its hope that the upcoming 22nd Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Selangor will not be entirely cancelled. Echoing a sentiment previously expressed by Terengganu, Kelantan's leadership suggests that the biennial sporting event could potentially proceed, albeit perhaps in a scaled-down format. This position acknowledges the Sultan of Selangor's counsel for a postponement but appeals for a reconsideration by the host state government.

Zamakhshari Muhamad, the chairman of Kelantan's Committee for Youth, Sports, NGOs, and Community Cohesion, conveyed the state's desire to see the games continue. The athletes from Kelantan have reportedly been diligently preparing for the event, and a cancellation would undoubtedly be a significant disappointment after their dedicated training efforts.
