Kemensetneg Finalizes Preparations for Independence Month, 81st Anniversary of RI

Indonesia's Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) is meticulously preparing for the upcoming 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, dedicating the entire month of August to a series of national celebrations.

A recent plenary meeting focused on finalizing the agenda for the "Month of Independence." Key state events include a National Ziarah (pilgrimage) and Renungan Suci (moment of reflection), followed by the main Proclamation Ceremony and Flag Lowering at the Merdeka Palace. These ceremonies are central to commemorating the nation's independence.

Beyond the official ceremonies, the government is organizing significant public engagement activities. A "Pesta Rakyat" (People's Party) is designed to involve the community, featuring entertainment, carnivals, and a "Merdeka Run 8.1." Special emphasis is placed on involving Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) to stimulate the local economy during the festivities.

Air shows featuring fighter jets and helicopters, along with parachute demonstrations, are also planned to add to the celebratory atmosphere in the capital. These events aim to enhance the grandeur and excitement of the independence celebrations, ensuring broad participation from citizens across the country.
