Khbabz's story is one of resilience, tracing his roots back to the Yakoub El Mansour neighborhood in Rabat and the city of Salé before his family relocated to the Netherlands when he was seven.

Khbabz described how his mother bore the heavy responsibility of raising him and his five siblings. Despite receiving multiple lucrative offers, including significant financial incentives, to compete for the Netherlands, Khbabz unequivocally chose to represent Morocco. He views donning the Moroccan flag as a profound responsibility and a source of immense pride, representing not just himself but his entire nation.
