Kiat Lim Arrives in Valencia Ahead of Mestalla Clash with Barcelona

Valencia president Kiat Lim landed at Manises airport on Sunday, just hours before the club's match against Barcelona at Mestalla.

The visit comes as Valencia struggles through a poor start to the league season and supporters prepare protests against the management of his father, Peter Lim, the club's majority shareholder. Kiat Lim arrived on a private flight, was met by Valencia general director Javier Solís and went directly to the team's hotel, according to Tribuna Deportiva.

If he attends the match at Mestalla, it would be his first league game at the stadium since taking the club's top position in March 2025. He first appeared in the presidential box in his current role in early August, during the Trofeu Taronja against Newcastle, where he heard fans chant, “Peter, go now.”

His trip to Valencia follows the close of the transfer window and a news conference by football director Ron Gourlay. After that briefing, several Valencia supporter groups proposed that season-ticket holders remain outside Mestalla until at least the 19th minute to protest Peter Lim's management of the club.
