Kidnap and assault victim in Bandung recovering, police investigate severe injuries

Yuvita Tri Rezeki, a 29-year-old victim of kidnapping and assault in Bandung, Indonesia, is showing signs of recovery at Hasan Sadikin Hospital. West Java Police Chief Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan visited Rezeki on Tuesday, reporting that her physical and psychological condition has improved. Medical staff have cleaned her wounds, and she is receiving attention from central and regional governments, as well as police medical teams.

This is already better condition, both physically and psychologically. Yesterday, wound cleaning and so on were just done. Therefore, I, along with several investigators, are here to communicate with the victim.

During the visit, Setiawan met with Rezeki's parents and consulted with the hospital's director and the plastic surgeon treating her. He confirmed that forensic doctors have documented the extent of her injuries, which include damage to her eyes and lips, as well as cuts on her legs. The police chief stated that these injuries serve as evidence of the suspect TH's alleged actions.

We are focusing first on helping the victim. Alhamdulillah, it has received attention from the central government and the regional government, including from us in police medicine.
