He had been pursuing legal action against the claims. Investigations later revealed that the audio and conversation logs used in the exposé were fabricated using generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The YouTuber responsible for spreading the false information has since been arrested and indicted.

Having cleared his name, Kim Soo-hyun plans to normalize his public engagements, starting with collaborations with international brands that have maintained trust with him. His return to work signifies a fresh start after overcoming the challenges posed by the fake news incident. His appearance in the recent advertisement shoot, where he was seen smiling brightly and interacting with the staff while holding a bouquet, drew attention for his unchanged presence despite the long break.
