Kindness Library Program Brings Books and Scholarships to Students in Vietnam's Đắk Lắk Province

The "Kindness Library - House of Wisdom" program recently brought a significant influx of knowledge to students in Ea Knuếc commune, Đắk Lắk province. Through the Thanh Niên newspaper, the program delivered nearly 1,500 books and scholarships totaling over 130 million Vietnamese dong to three schools in the area. This initiative was made possible by contributions from the family of the late journalist Phan Bá Chức, entrepreneur Nguyễn Thị Hoài An, the Chùa Lá Gò Vấp Free Foreign Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, the family of the late writer Phùng Quán, students in Ho Chi Minh City, and numerous other benefactors. The donation arrived just in time for the new academic year, providing much-needed reading materials, especially for adolescents and children, to schools whose libraries were notably lacking. Students like Bảo Thi, an 8th grader at Hòa Đông Secondary School, expressed deep emotion, having learned about the program through Thanh Niên and being touched by the delivery of quality books to their community. H Đế Kbuốr, a 9th grader at the same school, excitedly noted that this was the first time they had access to such a wide selection of age-appropriate books, anticipating that the school library would become a popular destination. Vũ Văn Tuyên, Principal of Hòa Đông Secondary School, highlighted that the books not only enrich the library's collection but also open new intellectual horizons for the students, calling the books a precious source of knowledge and the scholarships a vital spiritual boost for students in disadvantaged areas. During the program, Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Director of the Lifelong Learning Institute and founder of "Kindness Library - House of Wisdom," shared his real-life experiences to inspire students in reading and self-study. High-achieving students from Ho Chi Minh City also engaged with students in Ea Knuếc, fostering a spirit of academic exchange.
