King Sultan Ibrahim sends greetings for Maulidur Rasul celebration

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim extended his greetings to Malaysians participating in the Maulidur Rasul celebration, even while he is currently overseas. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim conveyed the King's message, stating that he was entrusted to deliver the royal salutations.

During the national-level celebration held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Arts and Culture Centre, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also shared Sultan Ibrahim's appreciation for the efforts of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in successfully organizing the event.

In his conveyed message, Sultan Ibrahim offered prayers for the nation's well-being. "(Sultan Ibrahim) prays to Allah SWT, may our country remain a peaceful, sovereign nation. And may it uplift the dignity of the people and the nation to become the best example for Muslims and all of humanity," Anwar read from the King's message.

The event also saw the presentation of awards. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim presented the Tokoh Perdana award to Tan Sri Dr Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim, Founder and Managing Director of Westar Group. Additionally, former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay received the Maulidur Rasul SAW award in the Tokoh Wira Negara category.
