Kinrara Golf Club enters transformation phase

Kinrara Golf Club is entering a phase of significant change, nine months after resuming operations under the management of Green Care Services Sdn. Bhd. The club is focusing on enhancing course quality, organizing tournaments, and implementing youth golf development programs, signaling a renewed commitment to its facilities and community.

These positive developments are supported by encouraging player statistics, with an average of over 5,500 rounds played each month since the new management took over in September. Francis Chan, Managing Director of Green Care Services, expressed delight with the community's response. "We are thrilled with the feedback from golfers since the course reopened, and it's very encouraging to see so many returning to Kinrara," Chan stated.

However, Chan emphasized that the work is ongoing. "We will not stop here. There is still much work to be done in restoring the 'bald' areas, improving the tee boxes, and continuing to enhance the overall quality of the course," he added. The club's management is dedicated to comprehensive improvements, including fairway restoration, bunker restructuring, tee box enhancements, and ensuring more consistent green surfaces.

Johan Rosli, Manager of Kinrara Golf Club, highlighted the team's efforts since September last year. "The changes include improving the overall condition of the course, especially the tee boxes and greens, and enhancing facilities to make them better," Rosli said. He noted that the club's improved condition has attracted tournament organizers. Additionally, affordable promotions are being offered to encourage more amateur golfers to experience the changes at Kinrara. The club also launched a Youth Golf Development Program in May, led by PGA professional Rashid Ismail.
