KL City FC Faces Shortage, Starts Match with 10 Players

Kuala Lumpur City FC (KL City) finds itself in a challenging situation, forced to compete against Kuching City FC with a severely depleted squad. The team is fielding only 10 players in their starting lineup, a consequence of a player registration issue. According to the list released by the Malaysian Football League (MFL), KL City has just 11 players available. Head coach Datuk Dollah Salleh has designated Fazrul Amir Md Zaman as the sole substitute. The starting eleven features Quincy Kammeraad, a Filipino import, as the goalkeeper. The defense is anchored by Adam Nor Azlin, Kamal Azizi Zabri, Syazwan Andik Mohd Ishak, Giancarlo Gallifuoco, and Azrif Nasrulhaq Badrul Hisham. The midfield comprises J. Partiban, Kenny Pallraj, and Sharvin Selvakumaran, with captain Paulo Josue leading the attack. This match comes after KL City's previous game against Negeri Sembilan was postponed due to several players testing positive for influenza. The MFL granted KL City special permission to register a minimum of 12 players for the Kuching City match, acknowledging the club's ongoing player registration issues stemming from disputes with former players, which resulted in a FIFA ban on new registrations.
