Klaipėda Concert Hall Appoints Music Professionals to Artistic Board

Klaipėda Concert Hall has welcomed three distinguished music professionals to its artistic board, bolstering its capacity to shape the venue's creative future. Composer Linas Rupšlaukis, musician Aistė Bružaitė, and independent music expert Linas Balandis have been appointed for a two-year term.

These new members will contribute their professional expertise to developing the concert hall's artistic direction, evaluating its repertoire, and fostering new creative initiatives. The appointments aim to ensure the venue remains a vibrant space for high-level professional music, contemporary creations, and diverse audiences.

Linas Rupšlaukis, a composer, trumpeter, conductor, and lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, expressed his connection to the Klaipėda Concert Hall, viewing it as a special cultural hub with excellent ensembles and events. He is eager to contribute his multifaceted experience to the board's work.

Aistė Bružaitė, a kanklės player, doctor of arts, and head of the Folk Instruments Department at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, also shared her enthusiasm. She hopes her involvement will enrich the team with new ideas and creative inspiration, expressing a long-standing affection for Klaipėda and its cultural development.

Linas Balandis, a conductor, dean of the Music Faculty at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and artistic director of the Šiauliai State Chamber Choir "Polifonija," anticipates that his role on the artistic board will meaningfully contribute to the Klaipėda Concert Hall's goals and open new creative perspectives.
