KMT Candidate's Son Denies Confronting Eric Chu's Son Over 'Supervising Dad' Remark

Kuang-yang, the son of Kuomintang (KMT) legislator Wan Mei-ling, faces renewed accusations regarding his past, adding to previous claims of bullying and a "black history" from his student days. The latest allegation suggests an incident during his high school years at Huaxing Middle School.

According to the report, Kuang-yang allegedly got into an argument with Eric Chu's son, Chu Hsuan-yu, over a basketball court dispute. During the confrontation, Kuang-yang, whose mother was then a county councilor, reportedly taunted Chu's son by saying, "What, do you know my mom supervises your dad?"

However, Kuang-yang has vehemently denied these accusations, issuing a statement calling the report "baseless" and "completely untrue." He clarified that Chu Hsuan-yu was not his classmate, though he had heard of him as a senior student. Kuang-yang stated they did not know each other and he never made such a remark. Furthermore, he pointed out that Eric Chu was no longer the Taoyuan County Magistrate in 2011 when Kuang-yang attended Huaxing Middle School, disputing the reported timeline and factual context of the alleged incident. Kuang-yang emphasized the importance of reporting based on facts and urged the public not to spread misinformation.
