Knife-wielding suspect charges police officers in criminally motivated attack in Bat Yam

Police in Bat Yam responded by firing shots at a suspect armed with a knife who charged at officers on Sunday afternoon. The incident, which police have classified as criminally motivated, resulted in the suspect being evacuated in serious condition to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon for treatment.

This event follows a separate incident on Friday where two suspects were arrested near Tel Aviv's Tikva Market. They are suspected of physically and verbally assaulting activists, including Tel Aviv Deputy Mayor Chen Arieli, who was present with youth activists from the Democrats Party.

Arieli stated on social media that the activists had set up a stand to engage in open and honest dialogue, even with those who disagreed with them. Police confirmed the arrests and that the suspects were taken in for questioning regarding the assault.
