KPK: Employee gave Rp500 million to secure future projects

The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that a marketing employee from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi, Cory Erin Hardi, paid Rp500 million to Abi Nurwardani, the Secretary of the Muara Enim Regency's Education and Culture Office. This payment was allegedly made to secure future project wins for the company.

According to Achmad Taufik Husein, Acting Director of Investigations at the KPK, the bribe was intended to maintain a good relationship between the private sector and the local government, ensuring continued success in future projects. The KPK suspects Cory provided the money on June 6, 2026, in connection with procurement projects within the Education and Culture Office for the 2025 fiscal year.

PT Millenium Solusi Abadi is identified as a supplier of interactive whiteboards for PT My Icon Technology (MIT), the company that won the 2025 procurement project. The KPK announced on June 8, 2026, that ten people were arrested in a sting operation, including the Regent of Muara Enim, Edison. Subsequently, on June 9, 2026, four individuals were named as suspects in the bribery case, encompassing alleged corruption in goods and services procurement and other receipts within the Muara Enim Regency government for the 2025-2026 fiscal years. The suspects include Edison, Abi Nurwardani, Cory Erin Hardi, and Adi Triyadi, who is Edison's nephew.
