As reported by Tempo, the KPK's suspicions stem from testimonies of various individuals, pointing towards Sudewo's alleged interference at the Surabaya Railway Engineering Center (BTP) while he was a member of Commission V of the House of Representatives. This alleged manipulation of tender processes, alongside suspicions of financial impropriety, paints a grim picture of how public office can be exploited for personal gain.
