Kuwait accuses Iran of drone attack on vital facilities

Kuwait's military announced on Saturday that it detected "hostile" drones in its airspace and attributed the attack to Iran, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions.

A spokesperson for Kuwait's Ministry of Defense stated that the "brutal Iranian aggression" targeted several vital government facilities in the country's north. The attack also struck vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubiyan Island, located in northeastern Kuwait. Debris from the intercepted drones caused material damage, but no casualties were reported.

This latest incident underscores the heightened security concerns in the Persian Gulf region, particularly for countries hosting U.S. military bases. Kuwait and its neighbors have been increasingly targeted since the outbreak of war between Iran and its adversaries in late February.

Just two days prior, on Thursday, Kuwait reported that an Iranian drone attack aimed at a Chinese company's building in the northern part of the country resulted in the death of one worker. The repeated attacks raise concerns about the stability and security of the region.
