Kuwait's non-oil exports hit KD 481.6 million in Q2 2026, ministry reports

Kuwait's non-oil exports demonstrated robust activity in the second quarter of 2026, reaching a total value of KD 481.6 million (approximately $1.55 billion). The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported issuing 4,989 certificates of origin for these exports, underscoring the nation's continued presence in global and regional markets.

The data highlights the significant contribution of exports to the GCC countries, which accounted for the largest portion of the total. These exports were valued at KD 351.8 million (approximately $1.13 billion), with 4,381 certificates issued. This indicates strong trade ties and demand within the immediate region.

Exports to other Arab countries followed, totaling KD 23.1 million (approximately $74.2 million) across 591 certificates. While smaller in volume, exports to the EU and the Americas were notable in value, reaching KD 106.8 million (nearly $343.2 million) from just 15 certificates. The ministry affirmed its commitment to supporting national exports by facilitating procedures and enhancing the competitiveness of Kuwaiti products worldwide.

Kuwaiti factories export a diverse range of products, including liquefied gases, food items, polyethylene, refined oil, dairy products, and more, to markets spanning Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. This broad reach reflects the diversification efforts within the country's export economy.
