Kuwait security campaign arrests 46 residency violators and 38 wanted people

Kuwait’s Capital Governorate Security Directorate arrested dozens of people during a large-scale campaign targeting residency violators, wanted individuals and other offenders.

The operation, carried out through four security checkpoints, led to the arrest of 46 residency-law violators and 38 people wanted under arrest warrants. Authorities also detained 14 absconders, four people wanted in criminal cases, three people wanted for civil enforcement and two people without documents or identification.

The campaign included four narcotics-related cases, two arrests for liquor possession and two arrests linked to gambling. Officers also seized 25 vehicles wanted for judicial impoundment.

Authorities issued 57 traffic violations and removed 54 abandoned vehicles. In a separate food-safety action, officials issued a violation notice to a shop selling spoiled meat and closed it in cooperation with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition. Two shop employees were referred to a police station for further action.

Officials said they had taken the necessary legal and administrative measures against those arrested and the other violators, with each case to be handled by the relevant authority.
