Kyrgyzstan awards Uzbekistan's president its highest honor

President Sadyr Japarov bestowed Kyrgyzstan's highest state honor, the Order of Manas, 1st Class, upon Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The prestigious award recognized Mirziyoyev's significant contributions to developing the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The ceremony took place on July 30 at the Rukh Ordo Cultural Center in the Issyk-Kul region during Mirziyoyev's state visit. On the same day, the two leaders participated in a document signing ceremony. A key agreement was the Treaty on Alliance Relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Additional documents included agreements on a section of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, the joint use of the Chechme spring, cooperation in defense and social security, and mutual recognition of higher education credits. Several protocols and joint action plans were also signed, focusing on tourism, culture, agriculture, and investment.

The state visit also included a Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, held in the Issyk-Kul region. Leaders from the region, along with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, attended the event.
