Russia respects Kyrgyzstan's independent path, offers assistance, Zakharova

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova emphasized the strategic nature of the alliance between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, calling it their greatest achievement.

Zakharova told reporters that Russia has consistently respected Kyrgyzstan's independent path and has always been ready to provide assistance when needed. She stressed that Russia has not interfered in Kyrgyzstan's domestic affairs or attempted to play a dominant role.

"Russia has always been there. On the one hand, it has respected the independent and sovereign path chosen by Kyrgyzstan, and on the other, it has always been ready to provide assistance whenever it was needed," Zakharova said.

She also noted that Kyrgyzstan has reciprocated this approach, and that the ties between the two countries go beyond official cooperation. These connections encompass people-to-people interactions, mixed families and marriages, business and economic relations, as well as cooperation in culture, education, and professional training.
