Kyrgyzstan Prepares Book Publishing Development Program Until 2030

Kyrgyzstan is developing a comprehensive program aimed at boosting its book publishing industry through 2030. The initiative is being spearheaded by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.

Minister Mirbek Mambetaliyev stated that the ministry is implementing strict quality control measures for spiritual and cultural products. Before any play can be staged, an independent artistic expert commission visits theaters to provide feedback. Only after these recommendations are addressed does the ministry grant permission for the production.

Regarding books published by the state, Mambetaliyev assured that a rigorous selection and examination process is in place. For private publishing houses, the ministry is actively preparing the "Program for the Development of Book Publishing until 2030." This program is expected to outline strategies and support mechanisms to foster growth within the private sector of the industry.
