Preparations for Nomad Games: 350 workers involved in ethno-village construction

Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan, with over 350 individuals actively engaged in constructing the ethno-village at the "Kyrchyn" jailoo. The intensive work, overseen by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, involves multiple teams tackling various aspects of the village's development.

Key construction tasks include the installation of metal structures, pouring concrete foundations for the main "khan boz үй" (yurt), and establishing essential utilities such as electricity, water supply, and sewage systems, including treatment facilities. The site will feature over a hundred toilets, with specific provisions for individuals with disabilities. A new stage and additional seating areas are also being erected.

Mirbek Mametaliyev, the head of the Ministry of Culture, emphasized the urgency and dedication involved in the preparations. "We do not relax for a minute," he stated, noting that his deputy is personally overseeing the ethno-village construction, living on-site and working around the clock. Ticket sales for the opening and closing ceremonies are expected to begin soon, though prices have not yet been disclosed.

The World Nomad Games are scheduled to run from August 31 to September 6. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Bishkek's main sports arena, while the competitions themselves will take place in Cholpon-Ata, located in the Issyk-Kul region.
