Kyrgyzstan President proposes joint industrial and IT projects with Russian regions

Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov met with leaders from various Russian regions in Cholpon-Ata to foster closer economic and interregional cooperation. The meeting focused on strengthening existing ties, expanding trade relations, and initiating new joint projects between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Japarov highlighted promising areas for collaboration, including industrial production, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural processing. He specifically proposed leveraging Kyrgyzstan's High Technology Park and the special financial investment territory "Tamchi" to advance projects in digitalization and modern technologies. These initiatives aim to utilize Kyrgyzstan's potential in the IT sector and attract investment.

Both sides acknowledged the Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum and the interregional conference as valuable platforms for direct dialogue among government officials, businesses, and regional representatives. The Russian governors present expressed keen interest in collaborating on projects within the agro-industrial complex, IT, and tourism sectors.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to enhance direct contacts between entrepreneurs from both countries and to broaden long-term economic cooperation. This engagement underscores Kyrgyzstan's efforts to deepen its economic partnerships within the Eurasian region.
