Kyrgyzstan tightens rules for fireworks

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has enacted new rules governing the circulation of civilian pyrotechnic products, aiming to enhance safety and standardize regulations. The resolution, signed on August 10, introduces several key changes, including the exclusive sale of pyrotechnic products through specialized stores.

In addition to sales restrictions, the new regulations impose noise limitations. On weekdays, permissible noise levels must not be exceeded between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. During weekends and public holidays, this restriction extends from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.

These updated rules are intended to bring fire safety requirements into alignment with the technical regulations of the Customs Union concerning the safety of pyrotechnic products. Concurrently, a government resolution from 2007 that previously regulated the circulation of civilian pyrotechnics will be repealed.

The resolution is scheduled to come into force 10 days after its official publication, marking a significant update to how fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices are managed within Kyrgyzstan.
