Kyrgyzstan to host international poetry festival "Alykul Fest - 2026"

Kyrgyzstan is set to host the "Alykul Fest - 2026" international poetry festival and a related poetry competition. The event aims to commemorate significant milestones: the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, the 100th anniversary of the Chuy Oblast, and the 45th anniversary of the Alykul Osmonov literary association.

The Ministry of Culture announced that the literary competition will take place at the Alykul Osmonov State Memorial Cultural Complex in the village of Kaptai-Aryk, Chuy Oblast. The results and awards ceremony are scheduled for September 21.

Poets and literary figures from Kyrgyzstan, both within the country and abroad, are invited to participate. Representatives from the creative circles of Turkic states are also welcome. Authors of any age, except for national poets of Kyrgyzstan, can submit their works. For international participants, an online participation option is available.

Each author may submit up to three poems. Submissions must be previously unpublished, meet artistic standards, and fully address the competition's theme. The deadline for submitting entries is August 28 at 6:00 PM. Contact numbers for additional information are provided.
