La Vinotinto U-20 beach soccer team defeats Argentina 3-0

On the sands of the Playa Agua Dulce stadium in Lima, the Venezuelan U-20 beach soccer team, known as La Vinotinto, celebrated their third straight triumph by defeating Argentina. The team secured a decisive 3-0 victory, with Jerry Rivera netting a brace and Fernando Rivero contributing a goal. This win reaffirms Venezuela's leading position in Group A as they await Colombia's next match.

Rivera opened the scoring in the first half with an impressive chest trap followed by a bicycle kick into the net. He extended the lead in the second half, skillfully evading a defender before scoring. Rivero sealed the victory with a one-on-one finish against the goalkeeper.

La Vinotinto's winning streak began with a dominant 6-3 performance against Peru, where goals came from Rivera, Rivero, Sebastián Córcega (twice), Rubén Rovaina, and José Gómez. Their second match saw a narrower 2-1 victory over Chile, with Freddy Rangel scoring the opener and Rivera securing the win with a well-placed shot.

Following these successes, Venezuela will have a bye in the fourth round. Their final group stage match will be against Colombia. Venezuela currently leads the group, but Colombia could take the top spot if they win and maintain or improve their goal difference.
