Lagos govt releases 2026 admission list for model colleges, upgraded schools

The Lagos State Government has announced the release of the merit admission list for candidates who successfully passed the 2026 screening test for Lagos State Model Colleges and upgraded secondary schools. This marks a significant step in the admission process for prospective students seeking entry into the state's educational institutions.

The Ministry hereby informs the general public, and especially candidates who sat for the Screening Test into Lagos State Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools in May 2026, that the admission status for the Merit List has been released.

According to a statement issued by Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, successful candidates can now verify their admission status online via the Lagos State Examinations Board portal. The ministry emphasized that the list was finalized after the completion of all screening exercises.

Successful candidates should then proceed to their respective schools from Monday, 31st August 2026, to collect their admission letters and complete the registration process.

Admitted students are instructed to report to their respective schools starting Monday, August 31, 2026. There, they will be able to collect their official admission letters and complete the necessary registration procedures to formalize their enrollment. The government extended congratulations to all successful candidates, encouraging them to approach their academic pursuits with dedication.
