Lagos traffic advisory issued for food hub inauguration

Motorists and residents in Lagos should anticipate significant traffic disruptions on Wednesday around the Pen Cinema-Agege axis. The Lagos State Government issued an advisory due to the inauguration of the Fresh Food Hub, an event expected to attract a large number of people and vehicles.

Due to the high volume of vehicular and human traffic expected around the Pen Cinema–Agege axis on account of the event, motorists plying this route are advised to plan their movement ahead of time to reduce congestion and delay.

The inauguration, scheduled between 11 am and 3 pm, is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems. The Ministry of Transportation highlighted the potential for congestion and advised drivers to plan their movements accordingly to minimize delays.

As is routine for events of this nature, officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will be deployed to manage traffic flow and minimise inconvenience to road users within the axis and its environs.

Officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be deployed to manage traffic flow during the event. The government encouraged motorists to cooperate with traffic officials and consider using alternative routes to ease congestion. The advisory aims to reduce the impact on road users, with the state government expressing regret for any inconvenience caused while emphasizing its commitment to projects that improve citizens' livelihoods.
