Lamia: Shocking complaint by businesswoman over attack in her store - 'If the bottle had been glass, my child would be an orphan'

A businesswoman in Lamia, Greece, has filed a shocking complaint detailing a violent assault that occurred within her store, stemming from a dispute over parking fees. The incident, which took place on Sunday, July 5th, left the victim with injuries and significant damage to her property.

According to the businesswoman, the confrontation began when another woman demanded payment for parking spaces. The victim claims she had already paid her dues and had no outstanding financial obligations. The aggressor initially left but returned later, initiating a physical attack.

The victim recounted that while she was on the phone with her underage daughter, the assailant suddenly attacked her, grabbing her hair, repeatedly hitting her, and verbally abusing her. The businesswoman managed to escape the store while calling for help and notifying the police.

The assault reportedly continued outside the business, where the attacker allegedly struck the victim on the neck with a plastic wine bottle. The mini-market also sustained considerable damage, with products thrown to the floor and bottles opened, causing destruction to items and equipment. The victim also reported receiving death threats, which she claims were repeated after the woman passed by the store again.

Three witnesses reportedly observed the entire event and have expressed their willingness to testify. Police arrived approximately 20 minutes after being called, documenting the scene. The victim, feeling unwell shortly after, lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital, suffering from head and neck injuries and experiencing vision problems. She stated, "If the bottle had been glass, today I would have left my child an orphan." The businesswoman has filed a lawsuit against the woman for bodily harm, insult, threats, and property damage. Authorities are currently searching for the suspect.
