Land Certainty Key to Food Security, Says Indonesian Minister

Indonesia's commitment to food security hinges on ensuring legal certainty for land ownership, according to Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Nusron Wahid. He stated that the ministry's support extends beyond land rights to encompass sustainable spatial planning and the protection of vital agricultural land.

Wahid stressed the ministry's dedication to maximizing the use of every hectare of productive land to achieve national food self-sufficiency and sovereignty. He made these remarks while accompanying President Prabowo Subianto at a nationwide harvest event in Malang, East Java. This event, which included the harvest of sugarcane, rice, and soybeans, involved participation from several of Prabowo's cabinet ministers.
