Las Minas District Prepares for National Flor del Espíritu Santo Festival

Las Minas, in Panama's Herrera province, is gearing up for its National Flor del Espíritu Santo Festival, scheduled from August 27 to August 30, 2026. The event culminates with a traditional folkloric and cart parade on its final day.

I feel very proud and happy. I would like to invite the Panamanian people to accompany me to this great festival that will be held from August 27 to 30.

Alejandra Bonilla, the newly chosen queen, expressed her pride and extended an invitation to the Panamanian people to attend the festival. She is slated for her official coronation on the opening day, Thursday, August 27.

Deysi Peña, representing the United Festival Committee, emphasized the festival's core mission: to underscore the critical need for the protection and conservation of Panama's national flower, the Flor del Espíritu Santo. Peña noted that the Las Minas district serves as the natural habitat for this significant bloom.
