Late Halid Bešlić's Son Devastated on Birthday, Heartbroken by Loss

Dino Bešlić, the son of the late Bosnian music legend Halid Bešlić, marked his birthday with a poignant and heartfelt tribute to his parents. The occasion, typically a time for celebration, was instead filled with profound grief and a sense of loss for Dino, who recently lost both his mother, Sejda, and his father.

In an emotional post shared on social media, Dino recounted the unique sadness of his birthday this year. He described the absence of his parents' familiar birthday calls and warm greetings, a stark contrast to the joyous celebrations of previous years. "Mom and Dad, today is my very sad day, and it should be the happiest. Today is my birthday and the first one without you calling me and saying: 'Son, happy birthday, what should we buy you?', even though I'm already an old man," he wrote, conveying the depth of his longing for their presence and familial warmth.

Dino emphasized that his life has been irrevocably altered since the passing of his parents. He shared a touching prayer, expressing how much he misses them and acknowledging that nothing will ever be the same without them. "I miss you so much and nothing will be the same without you. I pray to God to grant you beautiful Paradise. Your son Dino," he wrote, seeking solace and peace for his departed loved ones.

His parents, Halid and Sejda Bešlić, were laid to rest side-by-side in Sarajevo's Bare cemetery. Halid Bešlić, a beloved singer known across the Balkans, passed away in October 2025 at the age of 72. His wife, Sejda, passed away earlier this year in June. The loss of both parents within a short span has deeply affected Dino, underscoring the enduring pain of losing one's closest family members during times that are meant for joy and togetherness.
