Latvia Faces Longest Delays as Roadworks Intensify

Latvia is currently experiencing a busy construction season, with active roadworks taking place across 69 different sections of the state road network. This extensive work aims to maintain and improve the country's infrastructure.

Drivers navigating the Daugavpils bypass, designated as A14, and the Daugavpils highway, A6, will encounter a notable increase in temporary traffic control measures. Specifically, both of these key routes now have three temporary traffic light sections each. This adjustment is a direct consequence of the ongoing construction projects in these areas.

According to information provided by VSIA "Latvijas Valsts ceļi" (LVC), the state-owned company responsible for road management, the implementation of these additional temporary traffic lights is necessary to manage traffic flow safely and efficiently around the active work zones. Motorists are advised to anticipate potential delays and exercise caution when traveling through these construction areas.
