LAUTECH restructures leadership, creates third DVC office

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso has restructured its leadership by establishing a third Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) office and redesignating existing portfolios. This move aims to strengthen institutional leadership, boost operational efficiency, and foster academic innovation.

The University Senate approved the creation of the DVC for Management and Operations, alongside the redesignation of the two existing DVC roles. The newly defined positions are DVC, Academic and Innovation; DVC, Management and Operations; and DVC, Development and Partnerships. These changes reflect the university's evolving priorities and its commitment to excellence.

Registrar Mrs. Olayinka Balogun stated that the restructuring aligns with LAUTECH's vision for promoting excellence in teaching, research, and global collaboration. The university's governing council officially approved the election of Prof. Dahud Araromi, Prof. Adepoju Ogunkunle, and Prof. Lukman Sunmonu to the respective DVC positions on Monday, August 3, 2026. This strategic realignment is expected to drive the university forward in its academic and operational pursuits.
