Lautoka President urges fans to back Rewa in Champions League

Football fans in Fiji are being called upon to set aside club rivalries and rally behind Rewa FC as the team prepares to represent the nation in the OFC Men's Champions League. Lautoka Football president Shalendra Prasad issued a strong appeal for unity, urging supporters to pack Churchill Park in Lautoka and create a vibrant atmosphere for Rewa's continental debut.

Prasad stressed that Rewa's participation transcends club loyalties, stating, "They are not just supporting Rewa but Fiji as well." He highlighted the significant responsibility the team carries, adding, "Prasad says Rewa is carrying the hopes of Fiji and the players deserve our full support because they are representing all of us."

The OFC Men's Champions League 2026 kicks off on Sunday, with Rewa FC scheduled to face Galaxy FC from Vanuatu in their opening match at 3 p.m. The tournament will feature matches played at both Churchill Park in Lautoka and 4R Stadium in Ba, running until August 22.
