Lawyer seeks to nullify search of union leader's apartment over alleged irregularities

The lawyer for Candela Arizaga, a 23-year-old model who was seen running from Facundo Moyano's apartment, announced plans to request the nullification of the search conducted at the union leader's residence.

Diego Storto, Arizaga's attorney, told LN+ that an individual entered Moyano's apartment before the official search was authorized and executed. "If the prosecutor orders a search at 10 a.m. and the police search at 5 p.m., and someone enters the apartment, it is the police's responsibility," Storto stated, adding that such an occurrence breaks the chain of custody and renders the search invalid.

The search of the apartment, located in the Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires, was requested by the prosecutor's office and authorized by a judge. City Police concluded the search in the afternoon. Spokespersons for the investigation reported that no narcotics were found, though a USB device, an Apple Watch, and medications were seized.

Storto also questioned Moyano's refusal to undergo blood and urine tests, suggesting it was suspicious given the circumstances. He argued that if Moyano had nothing to hide, he would have readily submitted to the tests, especially when called for questioning.
