Lee Da-hye donates NT$500,000 in supplies for her birthday, personally delivering them to remote areas

South Korean entertainer Lee Da-hye, who has been developing her career in Taiwan for four years, celebrated her 26th birthday with a significant act of charity. She allocated a budget of approximately NT$500,000 (about $16,000 USD) to purchase essential supplies, which she personally delivered to remote areas in Taichung and Nantou.

Lee's commitment to philanthropy is well-documented. Previously, she donated NT$300,000 (about $9,500 USD) to support flood relief efforts in Hualien and volunteered there to assist with cleanup. For her birthday initiative, she meticulously selected items such as milk, clothing, and shoes, ensuring their quality before loading them onto a large truck for transport.

Undeterred by the long journey from Taipei to central Taiwan, Lee accompanied the truck, engaging in conversation with the driver instead of resting. Upon arrival at the orphanages and youth institutions in Taichung and Nantou, she actively participated in unloading the supplies and interacted with the children. The children, delighted by her presence, presented her with cards bearing Korean well wishes.

During her visit, Lee encouraged the children to pursue their dreams bravely. She also took the opportunity to express her heartfelt gratitude to the Taiwanese public for their acceptance and love. "Without everyone's support, I wouldn't be where I am today," she stated, highlighting the deep connection she feels with Taiwan.
