Library Honors Moroccan Writer Al-Baqali in Asilah

Asilah, Morocco – A new library dedicated to the memory of the late Moroccan writer Ahmed Abdel Salam Al-Baqali has officially opened its doors in the coastal city of Asilah. The institution aims to preserve and share the literary legacy of Al-Baqali, a prominent figure in Moroccan letters.

The library offers visitors a glimpse into Al-Baqali's personal collection. This includes his private manuscripts and newly published editions of his writings. Some of these works were previously out of print or had remained unpublished for decades during his prolific career.

Al-Baqali is remembered as a pioneering voice among Moroccan writers. He distinguished himself through his early and dedicated focus on children's literature. His work also spanned genres such as science fiction, adventure, and detective fiction, broadening the scope of Arabic literature.
