Lifeguard and Paramedic Heroically Rescue Two Children from Drowning in Greece

Two teenagers narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation on Spianzia beach in Greece when powerful currents pulled them out to sea. The 13 and 15-year-old siblings found themselves struggling against the waves, unable to return to shore.

In a dramatic display of bravery and quick thinking, lifeguard Giorgos Nikolopoulos and an off-duty EKAV paramedic, Christos Koulis, immediately plunged into the water. They battled the strong currents, reaching the distressed teenagers and guiding them safely back to the coast. Onlookers watched with bated breath as the rescue operation unfolded.

The two heroes, demonstrating remarkable composure and courage, managed to bring the children ashore. Both teenagers were conscious and unharmed, but were transported to Pyrgos Hospital for essential medical evaluation as a precautionary measure.

They stated they were simply doing their duty and felt immense relief that the ordeal had a happy ending.
