AS Monaco is reportedly seeking to part ways with midfielder Paul Pogba, with discussions underway for an early termination of his contract. The French international's tenure at the club has been significantly impacted by a lengthy doping suspension and subsequent injuries.

Pogba joined Monaco last summer, returning to professional football after an 18-month ban for doping violations. His first season was largely disrupted by injuries, limiting his playing time. According to reports, Monaco aims to mutually terminate Pogba's deal by September 1st, allowing him to find a new club. The decision now rests with Pogba, who is currently injured. The midfielder received a four-year ban after testing positive for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in August 2023, a result he attributed to an accidental supplement intake. The Court of Arbitration for Sport later reduced his suspension to 18 months, making him eligible to return to play in March 2025.
